Your baby’s health depends on carefully following the instructions below:

Proper hygiene, preparation, dilution, use and storage are important when preparing infant formula. Powdered infant formulas are not sterile and should not be fed to premature infants or infants who might have immune problems unless directed and supervised by your baby’s doctor. Ask your baby’s doctor which formula is appropriate for your baby. Ask your baby’s doctor about the need to use cooled, boiled water for mixing and the need to boil clean utensils, bottles and nipples in water before use.

1. Wash hands thoroughly with soap & water before preparing formula.

2. Pour desired amount of water into the bottle. Add powder.

3. Put the cap on the bottle and shake. Feed or store immediately in refrigerator.

To Make *	Water	Powder
2 fl oz bottle	2 fl oz	1 packed level scoop (8.9 g)
4 fl oz bottle	4 fl oz	2 packed level scoop (17.8 g)
8 fl oz bottle	8 fl oz	4 packed level scoop (35.6 g)

Each scoop adds about 0.2 fl oz to the amount of prepared formula.

WARNING: Do not use a microwave oven to warm formula. Serious burns may result.

Failure to follow these instructions could result in severe harm. Once prepared, infant formula can spoil quickly. Either feed immediately or cover and store in refrigerator at 35-40°F (2-4°C) for no longer than 24 hours. Do not use prepared formula if it is unrefrigerated for more than a total of 2 hours. Do not freeze prepared formula. After feeding begins, use formula within one hour or discard.

Storage/Handling: Store cans at room temperature. After opening can, keep tightly covered, store in dry area, and use contents within 1 month. Do not freeze powder and avoid excessive heat.

Pregestimil does not look or taste like milk or soy formulas. It may separate in the refrigerator. Shake well before feeding.

Our 10 month old has recently been diagnosed as failure to thrive and even more heart wrenching our darling has unknown allergies. With the copious medical tests our sweetie is undergoing we also had to switch formulas. THAT was the biggest challenge! This is the only known allergen free formula the cutie will take and while it matters well be gold plated for the cost it really has been a true lifesaver for all of us. Thank you Enfamil!

My baby was not gaining weight after birth on any formula and he was having continuous diarrhea. We were so worried as he was getting weaker and was not able to latch. Those were the most difficult days of my life as my baby is very precious. I had my sweet precious boy after 5 miscarriages. He was born with spina bifida and we though diarrhea could be because of this underlying condition. Finally doctors sent his stool for fat content test and it came back positive. Doctors started him on progestimil and he started gaining few grams everyday. I’m so thankful for this formula, can’t emphasize how much. We are back home from hospital and he is active and growing every day. 🙂

What is the percentage of MCT in this milk powder? The doctor said that infants with cholestasis need 50% MCT. Is this pregestimil enough? Do I need to add an extra MCT in the formula?

It took my baby a while to get used to this formula because it is broken down and easy to digest. Although those are great benefits, it lacks greatly in the taste. The doctor told me it would taste worse than the normal Enfamil and he was right. I had to mix this with my breast milk in order for my son to eat it and I am still doing that 9 months later. There are so many benefits to this though aside from it being difficult for the baby to take such as it helped my baby gain weight! He was borderline failure to thrive due to a genetic liver disease, and within a few months of using this he went from the 4th percentile to the 50th! I am overall so happy with this formula.
