My dog from the first week was noticeable change in her coat, very silky, she loves the taste, at first she mixed it with one she had before and was little left, she ate is first and then the other, if the price is a little high but the truth from my point of view is worth it for the benefits of my dogs

Even though you wouldn’t think it by looking at her. She’s a little bit “big boned”. But she never got excited about getting breakfast or dinner. But after we started her on this food she literally runs to us and shakes her butt when she hears the bag open. It’s also nice that there is a ziplock top to keep it fresh. It is on the spendy side, but we’ll worth seeing her excitment.

I’ve had German shepherds for 30 years, and this is by far the best dod food I have ever found!
Many German shepherds have sensitive stomachs, and frequently have trouble keeping weight on. My vet recommended this food. Nova’s coat is shiny and soft, she is maintaining the perfect weight, her skin is healthy, she is bursting with energy, and I get compliments on her everywhere we go. An added bonus is that her shedding has greatly decreased which is a bonus because we frequently visit nursing homes.

🙏 The cost is higher, but the portions of food compared to others are better, since you don’t need to fill your stomach, the important thing is nutrition.

We all know GSD’s have sensitive digestive systems. 1 GSD fart and you will pay anything to stop that from happening! Lol Royal Canin GSD is the only food I feed my GSD’S. I have a dog fart free home and dogs with no more diarrhea. This food in my eyes was sent straight from the heavens! Now if they only made husband chow. My house would be completly fart free!

On paper this is a substandard dog food and rates quite low with dog food advisor I think given the inflated price….but multiple times we have gone back to it whenever our shepherds had serious digestive issues…I can’t explain what is different about this food like I say on paper it is not a wise choice….but when you have a german shepherd that is not digesting right? Throwing up often? It is worth trying for sure and I have to say it has always come though …nowadays we feed a little less than half Royal Canin and the rest the Kirkland blue bag (salmon meal)….Both dogs are really stable on this as much as I would like to stop feeding the Royal Canin because the ingredients are less than optimal on paper? It works and how can you argue with that? It literally saved the LIFE of one dog years ago

The quest continues for my GI compromised young GS. He is on Royal Canin GI low fat, but as per my review about that, it is calorie poor for a dog that should be gaining weight, and increasing the volume is counterproductive. Both dogs were on Taste of the Wild. I was slowly mixing RC for GS in with his RC GI low fat and result for first two week were good until I tipped it volume wise in favor of the GS formula. I can’t say for sure if it was the food, or something he got into outside. So, I stopped giving him the GS formula. So, what to do with 20+ pounds of dog food? Mix it in with my older Shepherd’s TOTW, and use as snacks. Perhaps I’ll try again with the young GS. I am not being critical of the quality of the RC GS formula.
What I am perplexed about is the increase in price of the German Shepherd formula, about ten bucks for the thirty pound bag. At that sort of money, it’s pitched me in the direction of preparing additives to my young shepherd, such as combinations of ground turkey, eggs, sweet potatoes and green beans along with his GI formula RC.
