I don’t eat it, but my dog does! So I will assume that it tastes good. He’s eaten it everyday since I got him and he’s grown into a fine dog at 14 months. One more month and he switches to Adult. Keep making a fine product.

I waited a while (2 months) before reviewing this so I could get a good idea of how my pup would take to it. I am pleased to say he absolutely devours this stuff. I had him on Nutro Max for a while and his stool was runny and yellowish in color. After switching over his stool is firm and consistent. He is a 4 month and 1 week old Black Labrador and Springer Spaniel mix. He’s eating around 3 cups a day and he’s grown from 11 pounds when we got him (2 months ago) to a healthy 27lbs at 4 months and 1 week of age. He gains right around 10lbs a month, which is what the vet said is expected.
His eyes are clear, coat is soft and shiny. I haven’t noticed any yellow spots forming in the grass like some other posters said. The only time that happens is if I miss a spot when using the pooper scooper and it sits for a while. Overall I would highly recommend it to anyone!

The dogs for whatever reason love it so I think that’s how I’m judging it. Even for treats they can just eat their food which is nice but this is a lot more money then the kind I was using for the dog so I am torn.

Our baby girl has eaten this food since we got her in July 2020! As she nears 15 months we’ll have to switch. But she has the most beautiful soft shiny coat. She has been so healthy her first year with us. This is THE best puppy lab food!! And she loves it.

I am not scared of whats in this food, unlike most things on the shelf! I’m willing to pay a little bit more now, for fewer health concerns in the future. Our pup’s been on it for 14 months now and her coat shines like crazy. No unnecessary lab visits and her body is growing at a normal rate, strong, shiny and with boundless energy. Shes super happy and the only time shes ever had tummy trouble is after eating grass or other cheap treats. Highly recommend!

I rarely review items, let alone give them 5 stars. This food has help my puppy Khaleesi, Mother of Dragons, tremendously. We love our silver lab and only wanted to give her the best. After my weeks of research before we got her I bought into the grain-free online jargon and started her on blue wilderness. It gave her the runs for months. Went to Taste of the Wild with the same results.
Our vet told us to keep her on RC gastrointestinal puppy RX food which we did. Its obsurdly overpriced but help solidify her stools. Hoping that something else more reasonable has to good for our girl, I stuck with RC and tried this. Her stools are great and her coat gets compliments all the time on how soft it is. The kibble shape really does help my lab not inhale her food so fast. She chews it. Great for her teeth.
Some may argue the ingredients aren’t great because they contain wheat, some fillers and what not. All I know my lab feels full after eating the recommended daily amount so she doesn’t beg throughout the day excessively. I really can’t argue with the results!
Amazon’s price is reasonable and Prime shipping makes it a winning deal. Khalessi and I are greatful to finally find a food that she enjoys and is obviously keeping her as healthy and happy.

My two labrador retriever are both 48lbs. They both very picky eater. Been trying multiple dog food for them and all if them they not eat if I not put something on it. So been trying to look on this though its expensive but they both love it. I don’t need to put something on it. They just smash it and finished it right away. Love that they love this food. Expensive but worth for them. 🙂🙂🙂 happy I found food for them.

Excellent product for your puppy, improves digestion and nourishes perfectly, loves my puppy.
Unfortunately it is an expensive product, in general it is compared with prices of products of the same range; the “premium” product is not available to everyone, I will soon appreciate changing products.
If you want to take care of and pamper your puppy, it is an excellent option.

Okay, I only took one star off because one of my lab puppies has decided that she won’t eat this food unless she’s starving, BUT I should point out that she’s 75% lab and lacks more than a few of the typical lab traits. We call her “the Princess” because, well that’s how she acts. My other dog is purebred lab and just like ANY food you put in front of his face, he eats it like he’s never eaten anything before. I think 99% of labs are the same.
My labs have beautiful coats, no stomach issues. Etc – couldn’t ask for more out of a food.
The other reason I took a star off is because you need to be mindful of the QUANTITY of food you have to feed using this food versus other foods. If you look at the bag, you’re going to be feeding your dog about DOUBLE servings of this food when compared to another food like Blue Buffalo. Even though this brand costs about the same for a 30 pound bag as Blue Buffalo, it is effectively twice as expensive because you’re feeding them more. For example, my purebred lab is going to have an adult weight of about 100 pounds or more and they recommend 6 CUPS PER DAY. We feed him 3 cups in the morning and 3 in the evening. He’s not fat at all, either, so I know this is an appropriate serving. It’s because the kibble is pretty big and is also hollow.
So to recap: Great food but it is also about twice as expensive as you think it is. My two lab puppies go through one of these 30-pound bags in 2 weeks. But they’re worth it 😉

But I love this dog food! Yes it’s expensive but my lab looks amazing!!! She was getting really bad dandruff from her other food. Even after 1 week she started to look better and now a month later she looks amazing! Coat is shiny and no dandruff!!! I also think she had more energy! More puppy energy god help us!!!

I really wanted my lab on a holistic feed but we had so many challenges from a UTI to diarrhea. This is definitely on the expensive side but I’m happy to spend it for my girl. Her coat is shiny and soft, her poop is the right texture and color, her energy level is fantastic, and she liked the flavor of the food from the beginning. To give some background – we’ve tried: Holistic Select, Taste of the Wild, and Solid Gold.

After our vet recommended to move away from Grain Free food, we decided to feed this to our yellow lab puppy. Yes, his stool became a bit firmer. However, after reading someone else’s review about ingredients, I noticed the first ingredient is indeed Chicken by Product.
For the price they charge, I would like to see better quality of ingredient.
For now, I will see because I hate to keep changing his food.
