I was feeding her small/mini puppy Royal Canin food since I got her (she is 6 months old now) and I could tell she was getting kind of tired of it and when she would eat, she would just swallow it. Once she ate too fast and threw up – you could tell she didn’t chew any of it.
So I bought this kind for a change and for the poodle benefits. I mixed about half half and she loved it so much that I could use it as treats and then she was able to pick it out of the bowl and leave the old food!!
Another benefit is that the claim that the shape makes them want to chew the pellets, is very true. I can hear my puppy chew every single piece! They are smaller than I expected but perfect!
I wish it was cheaper or the same price as the regular food, but I will buy this again.

I love that it is specially made to meet the needs of my Standard Poodle Puppy. That being said why does it only come in a 2.5 lb bag? We are talking standard poodle here. He is growing fast. I cannot find it anywhere in a bigger size. One bag only last about 4 to 5 days. For this reason I will not be buying it again. Such a shame as this is what I want to feed my puppy.

I love Royal Canin products. I had bichon frisée puppies before and i feed them their puppy food, puppies love them. I have a toy poodle puppy now and he’s so picky. I have been trying any kind of high end dry food, he was not interested at all. By reading lots of great reviews here about their picky eater, I decided to give it a shot. The very first time i open it, my puppy was pawing it and wanted me to open it fast so he can have some. So gave him and he ate them all right away.
